In an effort to make premium off-road comfort more accessible, Can-Am—a subsidiary of BRP Inc.—has announced the expansion of its Defender lineup. According to a report by utvguide.net, the company is introducing the Defender DPS CAB HD10 with HVAC, a model positioned as the most affordable side-by-side in the industry to feature a full factory-installed heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system.

This strategic move, announced in late November 2025, builds upon the momentum established during Can-Am’s 2026 model year reveal earlier that August. The new trim is designed to serve the needs of farmers, ranchers, and outdoor workers who operate in extreme temperatures and require a reliable, enclosed workspace.

Performance and Utility Focus

At the heart of the new offering is the proven Rotax HD10 powertrain, paired with a dependable CVT transmission. The vehicle is built on the standard Defender chassis, which has long been recognized for its durability in rugged terrain. By integrating a full cab enclosure with climate control, Can-Am aims to reduce the fatigue associated with working in harsh environmental conditions.

Jeremi Doyon-Roch, Marketing Director at Can-Am Off-Road, stated that the company is committed to making utility and adventure more accessible. The inclusion of the MAX configuration—which seats up to six passengers—ensures that the new HVAC option is viable for crews as well as individual users.
