The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) has officially announced a major shift for its 2026 trade show. Recognizing the explosive growth of the powersports sector over the past decade, the organization is launching a comprehensive Powersports, SxS, and Lifestyle section. This strategic expansion aims to better serve an enthusiast base that frequently overlaps with traditional automotive automotive hobbyists.
According to the original report by Ross Ballot on ATV.com, this move is designed to create a more unified resource for the aftermarket industry. Tom Gattuso, SEMA Vice President of Events, noted that powersports has long been a part of SEMA’s DNA, and this new platform provides the dedicated focus that the segment requires to thrive in an evolving market.
What to Expect at SEMA 2026
The new section will be located in the West Hall, a strategic choice that allows for the integration of both indoor displays and outdoor space. This layout is specifically designed to facilitate vehicle demonstrations and provide a more interactive experience for attendees.
The scope of the new section is broad, covering a wide variety of outdoor and adventure equipment, including:
- Side-by-sides (SxS) and ATVs
- Motorcycles and dirt bikes
- Tow vehicles and trailers
- Specialized gear and lifestyle accessories
Andy Tompkins, SEMA Trade Show Director, emphasized that the goal is to mirror the lifestyle of the consumers who use these products. By grouping these items alongside the existing truck and off-road sections, SEMA hopes to provide an unmatched look at the current adventure market.

Event Logistics
The 2026 SEMA Show is scheduled to run from November 3rd to November 6th in Las Vegas. As is standard for the event, it is intended for industry professionals rather than the general public. While there is speculation regarding access for those outside the industry, the show remains a strictly business-oriented trade event.
