According to a report by Ross Ballot on ATV.com, Yamaha’s Outdoor Access Initiative (OAI) has solidified its commitment to the powersports community by distributing over $1 million in grants during the 2025 calendar year. This significant financial contribution underscores the company's ongoing effort to preserve public lands and enhance the quality of off-road trail systems.

The initiative, which has been active for nearly two decades, focuses on a mission to ensure that outdoor recreation remains accessible to everyone. Steve Nessl, Yamaha Motorsports marketing director, emphasized that these funds are vital for local partners who manage trail improvements and natural resource protection. The ultimate objective for the OAI is to reach a total of $10 million in grant funding by 2028.
